Street Stock Rules 2010
ANYTHING NOT ADDRESSED IN THE RULES DOESN'T MAKE IT LEGAL.
The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULTFROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.
The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation of deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is FINAL.
Any American made production car or truck. Wheelbase must remain stock for chassis used. Front spindles to rear end housing on chassis must be stock OEM frames. Right rear frame rail may be altered, not moved; for tire clearance ONLY! Unibody cars must be tied together with sauare tubing. All cars must have driveshaft loop and the drive shaft MUST BE PAINTED WHITE.
Must have two loops on front and rear. Minimum of 4 kidney bars in the drivers side door and 2 bars on the passenger side. 3 1/4" bars in front of driver's window are mandatory.
Roll bars required. No screw joint fittings allowed. The minimum requirements for all roll bars shall be an "A" shaped affair, constructed of at least 1 1/2" OD pipe with bars running from upper right corner to lower left corner and the opposite from the other side of car, forming an "X" as viewed from front to rear. There must also be a cross bar on top of "A" and 4 bars down the side and 4 bars around the top to complete a caged affair around the driver. All roll bar pipes must be at least .095 in thickness and must have an additional support extending from rear upright to rear position frame. No concrete reinforcement steel may be used. Gussets are required at all door bar welds.
Stock or Late Model appearing steel or aluminum bodies. Rubber nose and tailpieces allowed. Interior may be enclosed. Driver and passenger windows must open to a minimum of 12". Front of roof may be dropped 2" from stock height. Rear of roof must be in stock location. Cars cannot be altered in size. Front and rear firewalls mandatory, and may be fabricated. No rear view mirrors allowed. Must have driver's compartment floorpan, may be fabricated. Rear spoiler must not exceed 8" in height. 3 forward braces, may not exceed 12" long. Sheet metal or aluminum doors and fender allowed. Side skirts allowed. Factory trunk lid or stock appearing aftermarket trunk lid - steel or aluminum. Rear end must have enclosure - must fo from trunk lid to rear bumper - minimum width 36".
All cars must be equipped with racing safety approved seat belts bolted to the frame or sub-frame. Drivers seat and steering must be in stock location. Racing seat is mandatory. Neck brace and window net are mandatory. 1/8" thick doorplate is mandatory.
Gas tanks must be in stock position. Fuel cells mandatory. 32 gallon maximum. Gas tanks/cells must be securely installed with 2" wide by 1/8" steel straps. Pump, racing or aviation gas only. No nitrous oxide allowed!
Bumpers may be square tubing - must run inner rub rail - minimum size 1 1/2" round tubing on rear bumper, must extend to forward at least 6". Quick steer boxes allowed. Must have chain loop in front and rear for wreckers to hook to.
SMALL BLOCK MOTOR ONLY! STOCK PRODUCTION OR MASS PRODUCED BLOCKS. NO ALUMINUM BLOCKS, CAST IRON ONLY!

Aluminum intakes allowed. Collector type headers are mandatory on all cars. No zombies or 180 degree headers. No onboard electronic devices allowed. No electronic monitoring computer devices capable of storing information. Tachometers only.
Stock production or mass-produced cast iron 23 degree heads ONLY! NO ALUMINUM HEADS!! Porting of heads allowed. Engine setback will be allowed to centerline of the upper ball joint to the center of the #1 spark plug hole.
Transmissions: Only OEM production type transmissions will be allowed: 3 speed, 4 speed, and automatics. Clutch must be on crankshaft inside of bellhousing. Driver must be able to put car in gear from park/neutral and move forward and reverse at time of inspection. Automatics may have bypass valve. Example: no bert, brinn, or falcons or any other brand name transmission of this nature.
9" Ford housing highly recommended. GM rear ends MUST have axle retention. Gold tracks or spools in rear end OKAY. Aluminum drive shafts allowed. Driveshaft must be painted WHITE. Grand Nationals not allowed. No direct drive allowed. Mini-clutches allowed.Triple discs OKAY. Must have blowproof bellhousing, scatter shield on automatics required.
Any tire not softer than a 55 compound after the race. Steel 10" wide wheel maximum. Right side bead lock ONLY. 1" lugnuts, 5/8" wheel studs mandatory. Tires may be grooved. No recaps. Mud caps on right side only.
Rear Suspensions: NO 3/links ALLOWED! No J-Bars. Stock lower OEM control arms, center of lower control arm bolt hole must be no more than 1 1/2" from bottom of frame, on rear end bolt hole is to be no more than 2 1/4" from housing to center of hole. No alterations allowed. On leaf cars, only one set of bolt holes is allowed to mount the front of springs. Bushings may be replaced. Weight jackbolts allowed. Rear shocks can be relocated. Racing springs allowed. Springs must be in stock location for make and model.
Front Suspensions: Stock front lower "A" frames. No alterations. Must mount in stock location. Upper "A" frames may be moved for caster-camber changes. Tubular upper "A" frames allowed. Front shocks may be relocated, weight jacks allowed. All strut mount cars must use struts that bolt in stock position. No alterations to mounts. Stock steering box, with stock steering arm, and spindles. Aftermarket racing shocks allowed. Racing springs allowed. Adjustable heims allowed on tie rod ends ONLY. Rack and Pinion cars must be factory stock parts only - NO AFTERMARKET RACKS.
Brakes can be stock production or aftermarket. Brake pedals may have brake valve in reach of driver. Brake adjusters are allowed within reach of driver. Calipers must be stock OEM. No aluminum calipers or aftermarket calipers allowed. Calipers cannot be lightened. Rotors can be lightened.
